title: Wild We Wander is now boondocking.ai
---

Welcome from wildwewander.com

# Same family. New name. More math.

wildwewander was a personal blog about our family's life on the road. boondocking.ai is the helpful version, scoped narrow to the off-grid stuff you actually came here to learn.

The rebrand, in plain terms

## What changed. What didn't.

### What's the same

Same family. Same rig. Same opinions on gear. Same first-person voice when we have a moment to share.

Same commitment to writing for people who actually go out, not for advertisers.

### What's different

Narrower focus. Off-grid only. Six clusters, six calculators, a personalized readout after three. Free, forever, no display ads, and we don't sell gear.

More math. Less narrative. The trip stories may come back later as field reports.

Where to start

## Three good places.

### [What is boondocking? The plain-English primer. What it is, where it's legal, what your rig needs, how long you can stay, what it costs. Read the basics →](https://boondocking.ai/what-is-boondocking?hsLang=en)

### [Run the Solar calculator About 60 seconds. Sized to your rig and your real loads, not the brochure. The first tool that's live. Open the calculator →](https://boondocking.ai/solar-power#run-your-numbers)

### [See the whole site Six clusters previewed. All six calculators are live today. The readout's in build. Browse everything →](https://boondocking.ai/?hsLang=en)

### Looking for a wildwewander post?

The archive is being rebuilt cluster by cluster. Power topics are landing first. The rest follow over the next few months. If you bookmarked something specific and it's not here yet, get on the list below and we'll email when each piece ships.

## Get on the list.

One signup. We email when new calculators ship, when new clusters launch, and when the readout is live. No automated sequences yet, no spam, no sponsored content. Unsubscribe sticks.

Get on the list

Maybe a dozen emails over the next six months. Each one tied to something real shipping.
